This website was constructed by me, with significant help from my mother, Karen McCullough. If you notice any mistakes or omissions, please let me know.
All the links on this site to Amazon.co.uk or DriveThruRPG.com are affiliate links. That said, I encourage everyone to buy my books and games from their local game store if possible. If not, consider ordering from North Star Military Figures in the UK or Badger Games or Brigade Games in the USA as all have been big supporters of my work and also carry the official miniatures.
I was born in Greensboro, NC, in 1976, the son of a religious teacher and a computer programmer/writer. I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in history but spent most of those years hanging out in the legendary Cerebral Hobbies gaming store, which also proved extremely educational. After a stint living around Washington, D.C., working for a medical journal and in another gaming store, I dropped everything and travelled to North Wales to pursue a creative writing degree at the University of Bangor. I never finished the degree, but I met an English woman who changed my life. Marrying a year later, I settled in Britain and took a job with the famous military history publisher, Osprey Publishing. Over the next fifteen years, I floated around the company, working variously in production, marketing, editorial, and finally, games. Now a full-time freelancer, I live in Kent, near the English Channel, with my wife and two children.
